Never wanting to shy away from new technology, Waltet are thrilled to have been one of only 20 UK companies to trial the first skip truck of this type from Boweld, part of The Meiller Group.
Waltet use Boweld as the manufacturer of the majority of their tipper fleet and have always been happy with the product and the service so when they opportunity came up to extend their skip fleet, with a Boweld, they jumped at the chance!
Andy Noble, MD of Meiller-Boweld says “Meiller-Boweld have worked with Waltet for over ten years and in that time have worked closely in developing tipper and grab products. When Mark Howard (Waltet MD) ordered our new Skip & Hook-Loaders units for the UK Market, we were thrilled. We have great faith in the new products, and it takes trust to join us on the ride, for that we thank you!”
The new skip handler permits high loads and features load-independent synchronisation, telescoping lifting arms making it super easy to shorten or lengthen the chains, as well as sturdy tipping hooks to ensure container emptying is carried out safely with no overturning or slipping – all with very little noise. Another plus point are the fixed in LED lights, meaning we – and other road users – benefit from additional visibility.
Daryll English, Transport Director of Waltet concludes “The remote control feature allows the drivers to make more slight movements which helps from a Health and Safety point of view and means we can get our skips into even tighter spaces. The feedback from our drivers is fantastic!”
