– Upgrading Of Facilities at Existing Waste Management Facility.

Hutchings and Carter carried out an extensive refurbishment and renewal programme of work whilst the site remained fully functional as a busy recycling centre. These works included the erection of perimeter security fencing and the creation of an extension to the site effectively doubling the outside areas for waste storage and processing.

The existing below ground surface water drainage which had been problematical on the site was replaced completely and upgraded at the same time.

The building was adapted to receive a new larger more comprehensive recycling plant with retaining walls erected for earth and waste containment. The failing concrete surfaced yard and working areas were replaced with new concrete whilst being extended significantly to improve the sites efficiency and create a safer working environment for the staff. Foundations and drainage were also installed for new site buildings and the access road into the facility was upgraded with new drainage, kerbing and a new asphalt surface which was manufactured by us in our own hot asphalt recycler from recycled road planings derived from highways works within Hampshire.
