Day in the life of a Sales Administrator
It’s time to show love and appreciation to our amazing sales team, they are such a talented bunch.
For this Day In A Life feature, we asked Lyn about her day-to-day responsibilities as a sales administrator.
My day as a Sales administrator at Waltet consists of answering the phone, taking, and processing orders, dealing with email inquiries/orders, replying to answer connect messages, invoicing, processing card payments, filing, and general office administration. The time I get in the office is around 6.50 am, and my start time is at 7 am.
Every morning, after I power on my computer and make myself a hot drink, the first thing I do is check my emails for any orders or queries that have come in after hours. I promptly process any orders before replying to any enquiries and queries that require further action. Afterwards, I’m responsible for filing away any previous day’s orders after they have been double-checked by another colleague. Last but not least, I’m always on hand to answer calls which come into our office.
At noon, our lunch rota begins, with two colleagues heading out to lunch each hour until all the lunches are completed by 3 pm. I always make sure that everyone has enough time to take a well-deserved break and refuel so they can come back energized and ready to tackle any tasks they may have.
The best thing about working in sales admin is we work hard but have a laugh at the same time. We are a very friendly team who are always willing to help each other out, no two days are the same. Waltet is a great company to work for, a very friendly atmosphere, colleagues are always helpful, everyone is very passionate about their jobs. Management is always willing to help and support you in whatever way they can. We are like one big happy family.
